The paddles, made by Don and Spencer Meany, are named after great Canadian explorers and voyageurs such as Alexander Mackenzie, Simon Fraser, William McGillivary, George Simpson, David Thompson and La Verendrye. They all paddled through Quetico and Don Meany says “it is our way of keeping an aspect of Canadian history alive”
