The Town of Atikokan’s Recreation & Wellness Centre was opened in 2018 when a project to connect and renovate the existing municipal swimming pool and community arena was completed. The result was a modern facility with a 14,580 square foot ice surface, 25 m long pool, and multi-purpose rooms perfect to rent for events, parties, and meetings.
This facility is truly the heart of the community.
The Recreation & Wellness Centre hosts a variety of private and public events throughout the year including family gatherings, birthday parties, pool or arena parties, hockey tournaments and exhibition games, swim meets, and special events such as the circus and the Atikokan Bass Classic event tent.
